Practicing Change and Letting Go
Therapy is a collaborative process; we work together to think about how you think. My style is conversational, with an emphasis on talking about feelings and thoughts that seem to keep you stuck in place. I have experience working with substance and alcohol use disorders within the LGBTQ+ community, as well as transitions such as marriage, graduation, coming out, or seeking gender-affirming care. I am a religious, gay, Jewish man; I live in Manhattan with my husband and 2 dogs, Jacob and Golda, who make appearances in sessions when I work from my home office.
Before working in private practice, I was the assistant clinical director of an outpatient mental health clinic, where I saw patients and supervised several clinicians. I currently offer in-person sessions as well as telehealth sessions. My office is wheelchair accessible.
